You are planning to embark on a degree course at the University of Passau but you don't have sufficient Geman language skills? The Academic German Semester (AGS) aims to provide international students with an affordable opportunity to improve their German and fulfil the German language requirements in only six months. Apply now!

This intensive German course is a joint project of the Language Centre and the International Office of the University of Passau, and forms part of the University’s strong international and multicultural focus.

The Academic German Semester is an intensive language course designed for prospective international students. Starting at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in late March, you will reach the level of German proficiency required for studying at the University of Passau within just one semester. Participants will be thoroughly prepared to pass an official German language examination for university admission.

Learn German together with highly motivated international students!
Course participants receive intensive German instruction five days a week (24 teaching units of 45 minutes each) and are taught by experienced instructors.

Leisure activities are organized by local students, who also support participants with questions and problems.

The International Office also assists international students in finding accommodation through its housing placement service.
